hi. it's now a week into the new year. I have no resolutions as such. I would like to start bathing daily again, and at some point this year, I would like to sleep for six or seven hours in a row on a somewhat regular basis.

the mieplet is getting heavier. He eats voraciously and produces lots of laundry. he is chompy like a small dinosaur at feeding times, resulting in one-sided conversations that sound something like this:
"OW! stop that! no dinosaurs"
*chomp*
"let go! let GO! okay. now. try again. OPEN! no. that is not open. Hey! no lunging! try again. That's it."
*slightly less painful chomping*
"ow. m----f----. sorry, kiddo. Mommy is swearing again. ow. you have to actually open your mouth, baby."
*relatch. less chomp*
"okay. there. better. see? dinosaurs don't get milk. nice human babies do."

I bought a sling yesterday. we were disappointed in the size selection, but we think we've found one that will work for me. mieplet is not too impressed yet, but I have hopes of one day being able to carry the baby with no hands and actually get things done.

Finished reading _Kushiel's Scion_ today. I have _Ironside_ to read, and then I will need more books. MORE BOOKS! Also, I will need to find a way to write a short play for my class to perform this spring. I am debating about Greek or Egyptian myth as a theme. Also, need something with lots of female characters. Ergo, less likely to be Egypt, I think...

tired. should go be useful or something. I took a nap this morning, which was nice.
